Meet Judy
Physical Therapist and Myokinesthetic Practitioner
Pain Relief & Mobility Improvement Focused Clinician
As a 1990 graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Health Professions, I am board certified in Physical Therapy for 30+ years and have helped many people regain their lives.
In 2018 I began my personal journey out of chronic pain & inflammation. My doctor recommended Myokinesthetic Therapy (MYK) and the results were nothing short of phenomenal. I quickly realized I had found what my hands were made for! Immediately I began training to become a MYK practitioner and have added this amazing technique for my clients.
Our posture does not lie. The MyoKinesthetic System evaluates the root cause of pain within the nervous system, then rebalances it using muscle activation, stretching, and movements. When the nervous system is balanced, the body begins to work the way it is supposed to work, range of motion increases, and pain decreases.
MYK is a ground-breaking approach to pain relief, restoration of movement, & improved functional mobility with results in both acute & chronic issues such as
-
Headaches: tension, migraine, hormonal, cluster
-
Plantar Fasciitis
-
Cervical and Low Back problems
-
Shoulder Problems: frozen shoulder, rotator cuff, bursitis, impingement, post-surgery
-
Carpal Tunnel and Elbow issues
-
Hip and Pelvic misalignments
-
Limited range of motion due to surgery or injury
-
Sciatica
-
Knee Issues
-
Other sports injuries
Why should I try MYK?
-
If you have pain, numbness, tinging, limited range of motion, or posture that is not aligned.
-
If you have been getting other treatments but still have a problem.
-
If you have a condition that limits your enjoyment of life.
A typical session will include:
-
Assessing posture & narrowing to the main problem in the nervous system.
-
Working on specific muscles through passive ranges of motion movement.
-
Working on both sides of the body even if the symptoms are only on one side.
MYK is different in that.
-
You don’t get undressed.
-
No oils or creams are used.
-
We only work on specific muscles along one nerve pathway.
-
Session’s average 15-30 minutes, after the initial evaluation.
-
We address specific complaints
MYK is a worthy investment for sustainable results and optimal performance!
Most people notice the benefits within 1 - 4 sessions done during the first week of treatment and best practice of ~ 10 sessions within a month for optimal pain relief and performance.
