Trauma Touch Therapy

There are many symptoms of trauma that can cause dysfunction in our lives. Base on the science of bio-feedback, body/mind connection and cellular memory, TTT is a powerful yet gentle, noninvasive process for releasing trauma at a cellular level and integrating the mind and body once again! It brings freedom from the painful effects of trauma, including PTSD. TTT is designed to suit your unique, individual needs and leaves you feeling integrated, peaceful, and powerful.

There is no substitute for the human touch!

How do I know if I have unresolved trauma?

Experiencing trauma in at any point in life, especially childhood, can have a severe and long-lasting effect. When [childhood] trauma is not resolved, a sense of fear and helplessness carries over into the future, setting the stage for further trauma.

It is not uncommon for the memory of a traumatic experience to be buried in your subconscious. As a result, you may have been misdiagnosed with ADD, ADHD, depression, anxiety, or bipolar disorder.

Many who enter treatment have experienced symptoms of trauma without having connected them with a traumatic experience. This may be because they cannot remember the trauma or perhaps because they don’t believe the symptoms are connected to the trauma. When trauma happens it gets stuck in the cellular memory of the body and neurological pathways get disrupted in the brain.

Trauma victims numb the pain and their capacity to experience life is greatly diminished. The problem with numbing is that it is not selective. When you numb pain, you also numb joy and the capability to feel “alive” and safe in this world. It is very frustrating and that is what brings people to therapy!

What To Expect

The first appointment is devoted to the process of establishing connection, safety, and relationship. You will complete a comprehensive intake form, your comfort levels are established, and agreements are made to move forward.

Next, 10 weekly sessions* are scheduled and preformed with you fully clothed. You will be asked to think through your somatic responses: "Where is the pain? Where is the tension? Is it okay to touch?" Each session is led by your individual response.  It is important to note that Trauma Touch Therapy
avoids re-traumatization and is not  "Talk Therapy" or "Massage Therapy."
*Sometimes additional sessions may be needed depending on the severity of the trauma.

Note: Clients are recommended to be actively in process with a psychotherapist or counselor experienced in trauma to maximize the healing benefit of Trauma Touch Therapy
